SUMMARY

SUMMARY

Fatal Fury: Legend of the Hungry Wolf
Ten years after the death of their foster father, brothers Terry and Andy Bogard return to Southtown to extract revenge from crime lord Geese Howard. Fatal Fury 2: The New Battle

SUMMARY

SUMMARY

SUMMARY

To combat the terrorist organization known as “USR”, eleven countries combine their naval forces to form the Peace-Keeping Navy (PKN). However, all hell breaks loose when Admiral Red and his USR submarine UX crash the PKN’s inaugural ceremony and destroy majority of the fleet. At the last minute, when the UX lands the final blow on the aircraft carrier Apollo-Norm, the obsolete Japanese submarine 707 (a.k.a. “Snapping Turtle”) appears from out of nowhere and sacrifices itself to save the PKN flagship. Six months later, Captain Youhei Hayami is called back to duty to lead a new group of recruits and captain an all-new 707 in the war against terrorism underwater.

SUMMARY

The Street Fighter video game series has had a profound impact on the gaming industry, and the newly released Street Fighter 4 has marked a new high in the fighting genre. For those fortunate enough to track down a copy of the Collector’s Edition of Street Fighter 4 (there weren’t many in my area), Capcom included a supplemental anime film titled Street Fighter 4: The Ties That Bind. While not as entertaining as the prior Street Fighter anime films (including Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie, Street Fighter Alpha, and the sequel Street Fighter Alpha: Generations), The Ties That Bind is still a nice introduction to the new characters that populate the 4th installment of the video game series, and I hope to see more video game studios jump on the bandwagon by including a Blu-ray film along with the game.

SUMMARY

The anime was released in the brand-new ONA format, with four episodes of six minutes each. It was released on DVD as a pack-in with the Japanese release of KOF: Maximum Impact 2. The DVD is region two-encoded, but has English subtitles, as well as an English dub track.

The U.S. marketing strategy of King of Fighters: Another Day was far less accessible. Originally intended to be included with King of Fighters 2006 (KOF: Maximum Impact 2′s U.S. title) as a pre-order / early buyer bonus for customers of EBGames and GameStop, the US arm of SNK failed to ship out the discs in conjunction with the then new release. Several weeks later, after some complaint from angry fans, the bonus DVDs started showing up at EBGames and GameStop brick & mortar locations and in many cases were obtainable for previous buyers upon request yet quantities were limited and many are still left without it despite their devotion.

The U.S. DVD comes in a square cardboard envelope. The DVD is region one encoded and includes both English and Japanese subtitles and audio, both in Stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1. Special features include commentary on all episodes, character design galleries for major characters appearing in the series, one trailer for the animated series and three Japanese commercials for KOF: Maximum Impact 2.

SUMMARY

Naota is a normal Japanese 6th grade boy (although a little cynical), but when his older brother leaves for America to play baseball, his brother leaves his homeless 17 year old girlfriend Mamimi behind. Mamimi is sending mixed signals and advances to Naota, and he doesn’t know what to do about her. But to make matters worse, Naota’s world is totally turned upside down when he is run over by a woman on a Vespa. During their first encounter, she hits him over the head with her guitar, which then causes a horn to grow out of his forehead. She calls herself “Haruko” and her presence changes Naota’s life to even further insanity.

SUMMARY

After Colony 196 – One year has passed since the war between Earth and its colonies ended. Heero, Duo, Trowa and Quatre bid farewell to their Gundams and jettison them to the sun.
